The Squonk Mod from Vapor Flask is a high end take on the squonk mod design. Squonk mods are very unique – they appear to be a conventional box mod and RDA, but there is a juice tank inside the box along side the battery. The idea is that juice is kept inside the unit and fed up through a bottom-feeding atomizer and on to your wicks. This is a very clever innovation and is quite ideal for vaper’s who prefer RDA’s but don’t want to drip feed their juice. If you’ve never been a big fan of tanks because they don’t quite perform like an RDA, this mod could very well be the perfect choice.
The Vapor Flash Squonk is extremely nice. Its definitely not cheap, but Vapor Flask have an extremely high reputation for making top of the line products. As with other mods they make, such as the flagship Vapor Flask Flaskman, you get everything you pay for. These are incredible, top of the line mods that are built to perform and to last.
The Squonk is made of high grade allumiun and utilizes the latest DNA40 chip from Evolv. This is the only squonk mod I’ve seen that pairs with the DNA40. This means you have access to temperature control and the amazing consistancy and performance that the Evolv chip is capible of.
The Squonk mod features stainless steel 510 threadings and fitting to ensure durability. The 510 connection uses a brass, spring loaded pin that will adjust to any 510 atomizer (though for Squonking you need to use one that is bottom fed – Vapor Flask does NOT include one). There is also a micro USB charging port so the device can charge the battery without the need of an external charger.
There are two independent slots in the body of the mod – one holds the 18650 battery, and the other for the Squonk tank. The tank holds 6ml of juice – you get two of them with the Squonk. The battery and the tank are each held in place with brass negative discs. The firing button and wattage up and down buttons are all stainless steel. Against the black body they look impressive.
You also have access to all the DNA40 features such as regulation, battery and current protection and optional temperature control (when using nickel wire).
Note that there is not an RDA included with the Squonk. If you want to take advantage of the tank system, you will need a bottom feeding RDA. Unfortunately, they can be difficult to find, BUT – its really easy to modify any RDA to use with a Squonk System.
This is the first high-end squonking device I’ve seen released. Pricey, but it is fantastic!
