The Smok TCT Temperature Control tank is an interesting release – it uses pure nickel non-resistance wire and is designed for use with DNA40 regulated devices that support temperature control. If you have a DNA40 device this is probably the perfect tank for you.
The TCT is a 20mm device capable of holding up to 5.5ml of ejuice. It comes with 3 different colored sets of O-rings so you can mix and match the look of your device. The included O-rings are red, green and black.
It comes with a pure nickel, vertical coil rated at .15 ohms – this is designed for temperature in the ranges of 400° to 600° Fahrenheit (200° to 315° Celsius). Because the DNA40 chip will monitor the temperature, you won’t get burning if the wick is not saturated. This will lead to better longevity of the coil itself which means less changing. If you vape on this full time you will get up to about 3 weeks before you have to change the coil heads.
The coil heads on this device are fantastic. They are the selling point to this tank. There is no rebuildable section (though you could probably rebuild these – they are standard configuration). The coil heads come with Japanese organic cotton as well. You can switch these out with Kanthal coils, but the pin is not adjustable so its not advised to use this with a mechanical mod. Being designed for a DNA40 device, I’m not sure why you’d want to do that really.
The base of the TCT features adjustable airflow. The ring is a good fit, adjusts easily and stays in place. Airflow is outstanding if you like options.
Also included is a wide-bore drip tip with auxiliary airflow. Not sure why you’d want airflow on the drip tip, but its there if you want it. Its a standard 510 drip connection so you can use your own if you prefer.
Excellent choice if you’ve got a DNA40 loaded mod and you want a tank that supports temperature control.
