What Is Vaping?

One of the first questions you’ll get about electronic cigarettes is What is vaping?

Vaping is not smoking.

Tobacco products are designed to be lit as the smoke is inhaled. Electronic cigarettes contain no tobacco and produce no smoke.

Quite simply, Vaping is the act of inhaling vapor.

Electronic cigarettes contain basically 2 parts. There is a battery which powers an atomizer. You fill the e-cigarette with “juice” that’s made up of Propylene Glycol or Vegetable Glycerin, food grade flavoring and optionally nicotine. The atomizer turns this liquid into vapor which is inhaled by the user.

Its important to note that there is no conclusive evidence that vaporizers are any better or worse for you than smoking traditional tobacco products. This is not to say they are an alternative – there’s simply no studies or evidence supporting either side. There are now more promising studies out there like the Clearstream, and IVAQS studies.

Vaping however, is an alternative for adult smokers. Vaping usually contains nicotine however, which is a drug that can lead to blood pressure and heart rate issues. Consult a physician.

Many smokers have found using vapor to be a preferable alternative to smoking. Many have stopped smoking cigarettes completely.
