The Cloudsonic RDA is a new concept rebuildable from Project Sub Ohm. This atomizer looks extremely promising, particularly at this price point. It is nice to see authentic, boutique RDA’s now that come in well under $100 and deliver quality and performance.
What makes the Cloudsonic interesting is its unique airflow design. The Cloudsonic pairs a “strategically positioned” auxiliary vertical airflow with a dual slotted side airflow. The result is a turbulent, swirling air. This is very different than conventional RDA’s in terms of airflow design. I really like this.
Vertical airflow was something we originally saw in RDA’s like the Veritas. It combines a direct air current from the side. This gives you outstanding flavor performance. Because its coming from the side, it also eliminates flooding issues. Very nicely designed.
You get a fully adjustable center airflow on this device combined with a staggered side slot pattern. You can independently control or even shut off either of these air sources. This is particularly nice if you really want to dial in to exactly how you like to vape.
The Rhodium plated deck is built with a single positive post. The two negative posts are actually part of the deck so you can count on excellent conductivity and performance. The juice well is 5mm for those who like to drip, but less frequently.
The Cloudsonic comes with a uniquely designed, wide bore (10mm) drip tip. The drip tip comes in either white or black delrin. The RDA also comes with a black knurled 510 adaptor if you’d rather use your own drip tip.
All in all this is an extremely interesting RDA. As with all the Project Sub-Ohm products, you get a lot of bang for your buck.
