The Vector RDA by Vulcan is the newest Japanese rebuildable from the company that brought us the original Vulcan RDA. Continuing on with the same concept, Vulcan have built an exceptional atomizer at a very decent price. The original Vulcan was more or less an improvement on the Tobh. The Vector is a new concept completely.
The highlight with the Vector RDA is the innovative, vertical air intake system. Air moves through the airflow holes on the top of the atomizer, down the sides and is delivered to the coils. This channeling improves flavor production and still delivers enough vapor for cloud chasing. The nice part of this is the chances of leaking are greatly reduced as there are no slots on the sides of the device.
There are 8 airflow holes. You rotate the top cap to open and close them off. The cap rotation is buttery smooth – just turn the drip tip! You also have an optional grill (the atomizer comes with 2 so you have a spare) – that is designed to reduce spit-back. The included drip-tip is fairly wide bore so if you’re having spit issues when the juice heats up, this is nice. It also effects the draw which is very pleasing.
The deck is the standard 3 post configuration with the negative posts milled from the deck. They feature a slight “cutaway” design to allow more room for juice and wicking – nicely thought out. The post holes measure to 3mm in diameter and will accommodate a variety of builds and wire gauge.
Overall this is a really nice device. I really like the leak proof design and it hits hard so its easy to use on both mechanical and regulated mods. I was a big fan of the original Vulcan and the Vector is quickly becoming one of my favorite atomizers. The price is VERY reasonable for an atomizer of this quality – highly recommended!
