I recently posted a rave review about the amazing Kayfun Lite. I mentioned one of the more popular offshoots of the Kayfun is the Russian 91%. Having ordered mine – I’ve now been using it over a week and I have to say I think I might like this a little better than the Kayfun. That being said, lets check out what the Russian 91% is all about.

Update:

I personally own several Russians and Kayfuns – these include the Kayfun lite and the 3.1. The Russian 91% is my personal favorite of all of these tanks. The top selling point for me is airflow. The 91 offers more and its just perfect for where I like to vape. This is the finest tank currently available.

Even the Kayfun Lite Plus that’s out doesn’t match. The “plus” offers adjustable airflow of the minimal that’s actually there. I keep all of these “adjustments” wide open. The Russian 91% is the perfect tank. Period. I own 5!

What is the Russian 91%?

Well there’s quite a few stories floating around, but the rumor is that one of the engineers at SvoëMesto left the company and decided to make a slightly different version of the Kayfun Lite. Now I don’t know how accurate that is, but that kind of describes what we are looking at in the Russian 91%.

The basic design is the same as the Kayfun Lite. All of the parts seem to be designed exactly the same. In fact there is little difference when you get the tank apart. You even have the option of a clear plastic window or the metal middle section. The tank also holds the same 4.5ml of juice that the Kayfun holds.

The Russian 91%

Kayfun Lite vs Russian 91%

There are two main differences that set the Russian 91% apart from the Kayfun. First, the finish has a beautiful grey matte finish with silver lettering that I personally think looks fantastic. Its just different enough to be wonderfully cool looking on top of your mod.

The second difference is that there are now two air holes. One sits at an angle which looks really nice with the design. The second is a larger air hole that fits a small screw making it optional. So with the Russian 91% you can actually control the air to your taste. I like the unit wide open – it gives me a loose draw with tons of pillowy vapor. For me this is probably the best tank available and gives you the best flavor and performance short of using an RDA. If the airflow is too loose just pop in the screw in the large air hole and it will pull just like the standard Kayfun Lite.

Its also a little cheaper than the Kayfun Lite and easily out performs the cheaper knock off Kayfun clones. My advice would be to add this to your vaping rig. I carry several tanks with me during the day so I have some flavor variety. These days I carry the Russian 91%, the Kayfun Lite and my Nemesis. I wrap my coils at about 1.0 oHm and its just perfect.
