The Storm A RDA from Orieco is a 22mm stainless steel rebuildable atomizer. It’s essentially a clone of the Origen RDA that features an alternative air flow control design. It’s quite affordable and if you’re just getting into rebuilding it makes buying this a no-brainer.

My review copy was given to me by the fine folks at VaperCompany.

The Storm A RDA features thumb-screw center posts which makes both horizontal or vertical coil building a breeze. The chamber inside is a step-up conical design which helps the airflow. The deck features 2 “bean” shaped juice wells so you can get a little more life than a standard dripper usually delivers. There is plenty of room inside for building so this is a big plus if you’re a beginner. I’m personally not wild about the thumb screw center post. It works, but a standard screw design is much simpler. That’s mostly personal preference.

The airflow control works via 6 holes (3 on each side of the RDA) in the top cap. There is an airflow control ring that attaches over the top cap with 2 long slots. You turn this control ring to adjust the amount of airflow you like. You can also purchase different colored airflow control rings to customize the look of your Storm A. They come in black, red, blue, gold, brass and purple.

Performance on the Storm A RDA

Performance is quite good. If you are interested in vertical builds the Storm A RDA gives you that option which is quite nice. I also like the “bean” shaped wells – makes wicking nice and tidy. I also like the look. Much like the Origen RDA or the Omega – it has a step-up conical design that looks nice. Its 22mm in diameter so it will look flush fitted on a standard tube mod.

The price is really nice on these. If you’re just starting out with rebuildables or you need an extra RDA to use – this is a great option.
